Travel Agent University offers free Specialist Courses for home-based travel agents. I took my first course at Travel Agent University in December of 2003 and became a “Myrtle Beach Specialist” and have taken about 50 other courses there over the last several years.
The classes are free but you must first register using your agency ID(ARC/IATA or CLIA number. Classes vary in length but you generally answer 25 questions about the course material and you are now a specialist in that destination or type of travel.
For each course completed course you receive a Diploma, varied CEUs(Continued Education Units) for that can be used if you are working towards your Certified Travel Consultant or Certified Travel Associate designation.
You get chances to win gift certificates, familiarization trips, free trips,customer referrals, and exclusive offers for yourself and your clients. There are also rewards programs and newsletters and with promo codes for both you and your clients.
